Case Studies

One case study, with the Search Console data behind it. I would rather show you one result I can prove than five I cannot.

freebooks.pk

An educational site publishing free Pakistani curriculum textbooks and study notes for FSc, ICS, FA and ICOM students. I own it, I publish on it, and I do its SEO, which means the screenshots below are from an account I control and can show you live.

Read the two charts together

The quarter produced 9,350 clicks. The final 28 days of it produced 5,640. Roughly 60 percent of a three month result landed in its last month, which is what compounding looks like in search: coverage and internal authority accumulate, and then the same work starts returning more.

Note the click through rate, 4.9 percent at an average position of 9. That is a normal, unremarkable figure for that position, and it is deliberately unremarkable. A site showing a click through rate far above what its position should produce is telling you something other than good SEO happened.

What produced it

  • Category pages rebuilt as real hub pages rather than default archive lists, so each class and stream has a page capable of ranking on its own.
  • Internal linking across books, notes, boards and classes, so authority reaches the pages that need it instead of pooling on the homepage.
  • Structured data, including FAQ markup, on the pages where search results show answer boxes.
  • A steady publishing cadence rather than bursts, so coverage grows without the quality dropping.

Client work

I do not publish client Search Console data here. Where a client has agreed to it, the site is anonymised, because their competitors read case study pages too. If you want to see relevant client numbers before hiring me, ask and I will show you what I am permitted to show.

I also will not show you a chart without telling you what caused it. A rising line proves something moved, not that the person showing it is the reason.
